Fort Mifflin was continuously operated from 1777 to 1952. For a crucial five weeks, it prevented the British navy from bringing supplies and relief to the British troops in Philadelphia, allowing George Washington to escape to Valley Forge. It’s a beautiful spot on the Delaware river, with lots of beautiful, grassy spots to work, and plenty of dim, haunted tunnels to explore.
